full time b2b Sales - Services to Food Companies

at Private (Anywhere)

Management consulting and marketing firm in specialty food industry is seeking a hard-working, entrepreneurial minded sales professional to manage, and possibly re-structure our sales department. You will be responsible for selling our services and programs to food businesses by phone and email in a professional, consultative manner. Average sale is about $5,000 and commission rate is 20% to begin, PLUS, we give you the option to manage the projects you sell, which can allow you to earn up to an additional 20%. Based on our past track record, it is expected that you sell 2 projects each month at this level, as well as other smaller projects in the $500 to $2,000 range.

Candidate will preferrably work from our office, but a telecommute position is available to the right person. Candidate will report to, and function directly with our company CEO and VP of Marketing. Ideal candidate will be able to handle management position and build a sales team in the future. Equity will be given to the right person as certain sales milestones are reached (which will all be guaranteed in writing before you begin).

Skills Needed:

Retail and/or foodservice sales background
Specialty Food industry knowledge
Strong prospecting skills
Solid work ethic
Desire to learn, grow, and succeed daily
Great phone voice and command
Consultative sales approach (not high pressure)
Computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
CRM experience helpful (Salesforce, SugarCRM, Zoho, etc)

A college degree is not required; natural sales personality and work ethic are more important (in our opinion). Industry experience is great, but we'll train the right person or consider recent grads that are looking for a start in an entrepreneurial field. Your age doesn't matter either; we are a relatively young company and won't discriminate against anyone - all that matters is that you can perform and grow with the company.
